Lions sleep at day and hunt at night. With his sharp teeth and claws the lion kills about 20 to 30 big animals a year, to feed himself. The most prefered prey are the antelopes, zebras and gazzellas. The also attack giraffes, but to catch them lions use a set up- the male persuits the giraffe towards the bushes, where the rest of the group is hidden. In the right time the most powerful female jumps towards the giraffe and bites him on the throat.
First to eat are the males, after that the females and last come the little lions. Sometimes a fight begins for the food.
