Baby baboon

Pregnancy lasts from 150 to 195 days, dependant on the species.

The baboon breed all the year round. For the reason that the males rule females, the latter improve their life when they have youngs. Baboons have no real family and the female brings up her young alone. In the beginning the mother holds the young in her hands. When the herd moves, it attaches itself to her belly. Later, the young is going to ride her back up to the moment when it separates from its mother. Seniors and mainly subordinate males take care of the members of the herd. When a panther approaches the herd, males assume enemy pose and do all they can to hound out their foe by their enemy behaviour.
